Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium will take center stages for the women’s team starting next season, marking a significant milestone driven by a surge in interest, the club announced on Tuesday. The decision entails hosting 11 games at the stadium during the 2024/25 campaign, comprising eight Women’s Super League (WSL) fixtures and three potential Champions League matches if qualification for the group stages is achieved. Additionally, any home legs in Champions League knockout ties will also be held at the Emirates.

While remaining fixtures, including domestic cup matches, will continue to be played at Arsenal’s Meadow Park ground, the move to Emirates Stadium reflects the remarkable growth in attendance and support. Notably, six WSL games held at the Emirates this season drew an average crowd of over 52,000 spectators, featuring two sell-out matches and three WSL attendance records.

Arsenal’s chief executive, Vinai Venkatesham, expressed excitement about the burgeoning interest in women’s football, citing the recent surge in supporters attending games at Emirates Stadium. He emphasized the club’s commitment to providing more fans with the opportunity to watch the women’s team in action.

Head coach Jonas Eidevall echoed Venkatesham’s sentiments, highlighting the special connection between the team and its supporters. Eidevall expressed enthusiasm about playing in front of larger crowds at Emirates Stadium, emphasizing the positive impact of fan support on the team’s performance.

The move to Emirates Stadium signifies a significant step forward for Arsenal Women, underscoring the club’s dedication to fostering the growth and development of women’s football while providing fans with an enhanced matchday experience.
