Bumula MP Jack Wamboka has expressed concerns for his safety following his filing of a notice of motion to impeach Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi in light of the fertilizer scandal in the country.
MP Jack Wamboka, known for his outspoken nature, revealed that he has been subjected to threats on his life and called upon the Speaker of the National Assembly, Moses Wetangula, to swiftly approve the motion in response to these threats.
“The CS must be impeached to restore sanity in the ministry and fast-tract farmers compensation. The impeachment will cushion farmers from unscrupulous fertilizer business deals,” he said.

MP Jack Wamboka pointed out that such recurrent scandals have significantly undermined farmer’s trust and, consequently, impeded the government’s endeavors towards achieving food security.
“The motion is rooted in grave allegations of gross misconduct, violation of constitutional provisions and serious breach of public trust. The evidence presented before the assembly paints a distressing picture of negligence, mismanagement and potential of criminal activities within the ministry,” he said.
MP Jack Wamboka passionately appealed to his fellow lawmakers to throw their weight behind the motion, stating that its lack of political motivation and absence of any witch-hunting agenda.
